Mill Foundation

The Eastern Valley Heritage Foundation (EVHF) was established in 1982 with the help of the South Nation Conservation who had recently taken over possession of the mill. Ownership of the mill was transferred to the EVHF which became the Spencerville Mill Foundation in 1999. The Spencerville Mill Foundation is a voluntary organization dedicated to historic preservation and interpretation of the Spencerville Mill and the history of the local community.

Much work has also been done to preserve wildlife and conservation areas. Over the past few years the grounds have been transformed into a park area with flower gardens and picnic tables to welcome our visitors, wedding parties, family gatherings and special events.

Exterior and interior restoration work is on going. Displays and exhibits are being added to enhance the visitor’s experience. As well, the Spencerville Mill hosts special events and community gatherings demonstrating its vital and unique role in our community.

The Spencerville Mill Foundation depends on its many dedicated volunteers and the financial support of the community. Through community support and partnerships with local business and community organizations much has been accomplished toward developing the Spencerville Mill into a valuable historical resource.
